Tangney Tours - FAQ



1) Passports are required for all overseas travel so please ensure you have a valid passport when you travel. Please also ensure that your passport is valid for at least until after the date of return. Some countries also require up to six months after return.

2) Visa’s are required for certain tours and most non EU Passport holders will require a Visa for travel within Europe. Please contact us for further information.

3) The EHIC can be used to cover certain necessary medical treatment due to either an accident or illness within the European Economic Area (EEA) (just like the old E-111). It is not however a replacement for travel insurance. Please obtain one of these from your local post office or online (www.ehic.org.uk) before you travel.

4) Tangney Tours will always consider individuals with medical issues but please ensure that you are classed as fit to travel if you are undergoing any medical treatment. Where appropriate, please also complete the medical declaration form which our office will provide for insurance purposes.

5) The hotels we use will try and cater for most diets. We suggest that those with specific dietary requirements provide some guidance as to what they can eat prior to departure.

6) You can take your own wheelchair or arrange to borrow or hire one on a Tangney Tour. Please advise us in advance of your situation. This will allow us to ensure you are properly catered for throughout your trip.

7) It is possible to make a booking and payment online, just choose your destination(hyperlink).

8) Rest assured that when you book and travel by air your trip will be ATOL protected. This means there's no chance of you being stranded abroad or you losing any money. We are fully bonded by the Civil Aviation Authority under Air Travel Organisers’ Licence (ATOL) number 1220. For overland tours we are bonded with the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO).

10) All financial information that is held in our office is not passed on to any third parties. When you book as part of a diocese or group we will advise the organiser of your booking details only. We do not make our data available to any unconnected third parties. All calls and emails are also dealt with directly from our headquarters in Kent.
