What is the weather like where I am going?

Can I travel on my own?

Most of our tours are for individuals or smaller groups. When you have decided where you would like to go, contact us and we can advise you on how best to proceed. Rest assured, you won't be on your own.

What is classed as a group size?

Groups sizes can vary, we can tailor tours for your group, however do remember that the cost may dependant on the group size. We can also offer generous concessions for group leaders. To find out more about a group booking, please click here

How far in advance do I need to book?

Many of our tours are available to book well in advance. Please get in touch to request more information on your chosen tour. For a tailored group, please book as far in advance as possible as we would like to secure the best accommodation and travel arrangements.

Can I travel all year round?

Certain destinations are seasonal, however we can accommodate you all year round.

Can I visit your office?

Is my money protected?

Any money paid to Tangney Tours is fully protected. Any flights or packages sold by air are fully protected under our ATOL scheme and any packages for travel overland are protected by ABTA. Please click here for more information.

Do I need a visa to travel?

Some nationalities or destinations require you to have a visa. Please click here for further information.

What is an GHIC card and where can I get it from?

GHIC stands for Global Health Insurance Card, please click here for more information.

Can I pay by bank transfer?

You can pay your tour by bank transfer. Please could you use your booking reference or surname as the payment reference in order that we can locate the payment for you more easily. Bank details will be available on your confirmation or provided if you contact us.

What deposit is required for booking?

The deposit can vary on the tour that you are booking, please ask us at the time of booking and please refer to our terms and conditions.

Do you offer any discounts for groups/children?

We can offer concessions for groups (dependent on size), certain tours also have discounts for children and infants, please get in touch and we can discuss your requirements.

Can I book a group to go by coach?

We use coaches from all over the United Kingdom and aboard to provide transfers and tours. We run over 75 coach tours a year to various destinations around Europe. We only use luxury coaches for our tours. Get in touch now to discuss your group requirements.

Can I fly direct to Lourdes?

Our charters fly direct to Lourdes from the UK, the majority from Stansted, however we often have flights from around the UK. Get in touch to see what we have available for you.

Can you arrange airport parking or hotels?

Do you organise transport in the UK to the airports?

We have a network of coach operators around the UK and will be pleased to help you arrange a coach transfer for your group. Get in touch to organise it now.

Can you arrange coach drop offs/pick-ups?

We have an excellent relationship with airports around the UK and can often negotiate certain priority parking for your coach to ensure you can get as close as possible on your departure and arrival. Talk to us for more information on this.

Can you arrange large baggage movements for groups?

We can arrange bulk baggage movements in order to assist your group through the airports on departure and return. This will allow you to concentrate on looking after your group and the airport will take your luggage for you. Talk to us about organising this.

What time shall I check in for my flight?

Most flights require you to check in two hours before the departure time, each departure will vary and information will be provided to you before departure.

Will I be met at the destination airport?

Each tour is different, and the majority will be met by a guide or representative on arrival in destination.

Are meals included in your prices?

The meal provision is different for each pilgrimage, please see your confirmation or itinerary for further details.

What is my luggage allowance?

Your hold luggage allowance and hand baggage can vary between different airlines. Please check with our team when booking. This information will be printed on your travel documentation that will be sent out around two weeks before departure.

Will I receive tickets for my pilgrimage?

Most airlines are ticketless meaning you’ll only require your passport to check in. We do however send out a travel wallet which will include details of your pilgrimage, luggage tags, joining instructions and in some cases an itinerary of your pilgrimage.

Do I have to pay for a single room?

Most hotels will charge a single room supplement and these charges vary between hotels. Please ask at the time of booking.

Can I hire a wheelchair?

We can arrange free wheelchair hire in Lourdes. Certain pilgrimages will be able to help with pushing however we request you have your own dedicated pusher. For other destinations such as Rome, Fatima, The Holy Land and Poland, please talk to a team member when booking.

Can I bring my wheelchair? - Can I bring an electric mobility aide?

You can bring your own wheelchair. If you intend to bring an electric mobility aide we ask you to notify us at the time of booking. We will require you to provide us with the make and model. Certain destinations are not easily accessible with wheelchairs, please seek advice from us at the time of booking.

Can I travel with a guide dog?

Unlike pet dogs, recognised guide and assistance dogs are permitted to travel, with their owners, in the cabin of the aircraft with UK, European and most international air carriers, who will provide floor space in an adjoining seat. Please notify us of your intention to bring a guide dog. We will require the pet passport for any guide dog wishing to travel and your guide dog must be microchipped. I need a room with facilities for disabled access, can you help?

Most hotels with have rooms with disabled access. Please request this type of room at the time of booking.

Can I pre-book seats on the flight?

Seating requests are dependent on the airline. If requests can be made, we will need to be notified at the time of booking. They are also subject to change.

Can I bring food onto the plane?

You can carry fruit, vegetables and all solid foods in your hand baggage. However, foods in sauces or with a high liquid content (such as sauces, pastes, soups and stews) cannot come through security. The size of container must not exceed 100ml, regardless of the amount contained inside. Please note that jams, honey and other preserves are also subject to these restrictions. With regards to baby food, only carry what you need for the trip. Wet wipes and powdered baby food are fine, but baby milk and baby food (liquid, gel or paste form) will be subject to additional security screening. Subject to change.

Can I make special dietary requests?

If you have any special dietary requests, please inform us at the time of booking. We will then forward this information onto any providers. If an inflight meal is offered, we will inform the airline as well, however this is not always guaranteed.

Can I bring oxygen on a flight?

Our charter flights will allow you to bring portable oxygen onboard, provided that you notify us at the time of booking. Other airlines can vary, so please enquire at the time of booking.

If travelling to Lourdes, can I bring back Lourdes water?

Any liquids over 100ml cannot be taken into the cabin of the aircraft. Anything else has to be checked in. On our charter flights, Lourdes water can be checked in in addition to your hold luggage, for other airlines it will have to be part of your checked in allowance.
