Medjugorje

On the 24^th of June 1981, six children from the small village of Medjugorje in Bosnia and Herzegovina reported seeing an apparition of the Virgin Mary on a hill called Podbrdo, now known as Apparition Hill. The Virgin Mary, referred to as the “Queen of Peace” by the visionaries, reportedly gave messages of peace, conversion, faith, prayer, and fasting.

The apparitions reportedly continued daily for some of the visionaries, while others experienced them less frequently. These occurrences quickly attracted attention from locals and pilgrims.

Today Medjugorje welcomes millions of pilgrims annually.

Our Medjugorje itineraries visit many of the most famous religious sites including Apparition Hill, the Stations of the Cross along Mt Krizevac to a 14 m high cross, erected by parishioners in 1933 in commemoration of the 1900 years of the death Jesus Christ.

Visit Mostar – the historic town, spanning a deep valley of the Neretva River, developed in the 15th and 16th centuries as an Ottoman frontier town. Mostar has long been known for its old Turkish houses and Old Bridge.
