Fatima in October With Fr Oliver Leavy SPS
101 years have now passed since 'Our Lady, Queen of Peace' chose Fatima, a little hamlet in Portugal, to bring the message of love to a world divided in 1917 by the horrors of the First World War. Join us on our pilgrimage to Fatima for 4 nights full board accommodation in a 4* hotel, return flights to and from London Heathrow airport, and a full spiritual programme.
Package price includes flights, full board hotel accommodation, coach transfers to and from Lisbon airport to your hotel, prayer book and badge. Furthermore, we are including Mass at Santarem – Church of the Eucharistic Miracle, a half day visit to Tomar and a half day visit to Nazare.
Itinerary - to be confirmed
Day 1
Following arrival in Lisbon airport transfer to Fatima by coach to your hotel for 4 night’s full board accommodation.
We will have a walking tour of the Sanctuary, with private mass afterwards. In the evening there will be an opportunity to join the International Rosary followed by Torchlight procession.
Day 2
A group Mass will be celebrated in the morning. After lunch there will be free time to explore the shrine of Fatima. There will be an optional Mass with the Sick followed by Eucharistic Procession, followed by the official opening of the celebrations at Chapel of Apparitions.
In the evening, there will be the rosary and torchlight procession, followed by vigil mass.
Day 3
The International Rosary takes place in the morning and is followed by International Concelebrated Mass in the main Sanctuary Esplanade. Pilgrims have the opportunity to participate in the ‘Adeus’ (Farewell) as a statue of Our Lady of Fatima is carried around the Sanctuary.
In the afternoon, we will participate in the Stations of the Cross followed by a visit to Valinhos, Aljustrel and the Parish Church.
In the evening, there will be the International Rosary and Torchlight Procession.
Day 4
After breakfast, the coach departs for an excursion to Santarem and visit the Eucharistic miracle church where we will have Mass. Also, if time permits, we will partake in the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. We will then return to Fatima from free time for personal devotions.
In the evening, there will be the International Rosary and Torchlight Procession.
Final Day
On our final day, there will be a private Mass, with some free time to light a candle before we take our coach back to Lisbon airport for our return flight.
