The annual Welsh National Pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place this year from Monday the 20th to Friday the 24th of July.
The pilgrimage is led by Archbishop Mark O'Toole and is organised by the Pilgrimage Team, in conjunction with Tangney Tours.
In this special and unique place of pilgrimage we seek the intercession, strength and grace of Our Blessed Lady in our lives.
A full religious programme, return flight and full board 4* accommodation are included in the pilgrimage package.
Over the next three years, the Sanctuary of Lourdes is inviting us on a spiritual pilgrimage, a journey to the heart of the Virgin Mary’s story. We’ll go step by step, guided by the Gospel of Luke.
Our journey, our hope
2026 : the Annunciation
“Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you” (Lk. 1:28)
This is the year of the welcome, of listening and of the ‘yes’ that changed everything.
2027 : the Visitation
“In those days Mary set out and went with haste…” (Lk. 1 :39)
This is the year of service, of joyful charity and of reaching out to others.
2028 : the Magnificat
“His mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation.” (Lk. 1:50)
This is the year of praise, of gratitude and of singing in acknowledgement of God’s wonders.
In 2026, we are at the beginning of our adventure...
We’ll let ourselves be guided by the story of the
Annunciation.
Our purpose is to follow Mary on the threshold of her incredible adventure of faith, at the very beginning of her absolute trust in God’s will.
Let us join her in the house of Nazareth. Let us open our hearts to the Word.
About our pilgrimage
Our programme has been carefully considered and planned by the Pilgrimage Team in order to enable a personal and fulfilling pilgrimage experience for every pilgrim. There will be a lot to see and experience, including Mass at the Grotto, a visit to the Baths and a tour of Lourdes.
Masses will be celebrated throughout the week, as well as time for Stations of the Cross, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the Sacrament of Anointing, a visit to the Rosary Basilica and participation in both the Blessed Sacrament and Torchlight Processions.
You will also have the chance to pray at and visit the Grotto where the apparitions took place, drink or wash your face at the base of the spring and visit places central to Bernadette’s life.
Free time is also built into the programme to allow for quiet reflection or social time spent with fellow pilgrims.
