Begin in Rome, where you'll explore St Peter’s Basilica, attend a Papal Audience, and marvel at the masterpieces of the Vatican Museums and the iconic Sistine Chapel. Visit some of Christianity’s most significant pilgrimage sites, including St Mary Major, St John Lateran, the Scala Santa, the Appian Way and the Catacombs.
Continue to Assisi, the birthplace of St Francis, where visits to the Basilicas of St Francis and St Clare reveal the town’s rich spiritual heritage and peaceful atmosphere.
Journey through the beautiful Tuscan countryside for a day trip to medieval Siena before concluding in Florence, where guided sightseeing introduces Renaissance masterpieces, including the magnificent Duomo and the iconic Ponte Vecchio.

Reverend Alan Perry
Ordained in 2003, Reverend Alan Perry brings over 20 years of ministry experience and a wealth of pilgrimage leadership to every journey he undertakes.
Formerly the Headteacher of a Church of England secondary school in East London, Rev Alan combines strong leadership with a deep pastoral heart.
He has guided groups to some of the world’s most significant spiritual destinations, including the Holy Land, Egypt, Jordan and Santiago de Compostela.
After nine years serving a rural parish in Suffolk, Rev Alan now supports local churches and clergy as a Pastoral Supervisor.
Known for his warmth, insight and attentive care, he is committed to creating meaningful, reflective and enriching pilgrimage experiences for all who travel with him.

Rome – The Beginning of Your Pilgrimage
Your journey begins with a flight from London to Rome, where your local Tour Guide welcomes you on arrival and escorts you by coach to your hotel. From here, you enter the spiritual heart of the Church.
A guided visit to St Peter’s Basilica introduces you to the splendour and sanctity of this sacred place, from Michelangelo’s Pietà to Bernini’s Baldachin, as well as the tomb of St John Paul II. Time is also set aside to explore the Vatican Museums and marvel at Michelangelo’s masterpiece in the Sistine Chapel.
Your pilgrimage continues through Rome’s great basilicas. At St Mary Major, one of the oldest Marian shrines and the burial place of Pope Francis, and St John Lateran, the Cathedral of Rome, you will encounter the deep roots of the Church. Nearby, the Scala Santa (the traditional stairs that Jesus walked up to face Pontius Pilate) offers a powerful opportunity for reflection on Christ’s Passion.
A moving highlight is the opportunity to attend a Papal Audience in St Peter’s Square, with tickets included as part of your pilgrimage, joining pilgrims from around the world. You will also visit the ancient Catacombs, where you will celebrate the Eucharist/Mass, and the magnificent Basilica of St Paul Outside the Walls.
During your stay, you will enjoy a panoramic drive through the Eternal City, passing some of Rome’s most iconic landmarks, including the Colosseum and Roman Forum, bringing the history of ancient Rome vividly to life.
The pilgrimage includes opportunities for the celebration of the Eucharist/Mass throughout the journey, including in the Catacombs and again on Sunday morning, allowing time for prayer, worship, and spiritual reflection.
Each day balances shared experiences with time for personal discovery, all grounded in prayer, history, and the enduring faith of Rome.

Assisi – In the Footsteps of St Francis
Your pilgrimage leads you to the serene hilltop town of Assisi, a place of profound peace and spiritual significance. Set amidst the gentle Umbrian landscape, Assisi invites you to step into the life and legacy of one of the Church’s most beloved saints.
A guided visit takes you through the remarkable Basilica of St Francis, with its Upper and Lower Churches adorned with Giotto’s masterful frescoes, bringing the saint’s story vividly to life. You will also visit the Basilica of St Clare, where the revered Byzantine Crucifix, said to have spoken to St Francis, continues to inspire prayer and devotion.
With time to pause, reflect and explore at your own pace, the day offers a deeper, more contemplative rhythm. You will spend the night in Assisi, surrounded by its unique atmosphere of simplicity and faith, before sharing dinner together in this place so closely connected to the spirit of St Francis.
Siena – Into the Heart of Tuscany
Leaving Assisi behind, your pilgrimage continues north through the rolling landscapes of Umbria and into the beauty of Tuscany. Your destination is the timeless city of Siena.
An afternoon guided walk introduces you to this enchanting medieval city, renowned for its narrow winding streets, warm ochre-coloured buildings and rich spiritual heritage. At its heart stands Siena’s magnificent Cathedral, a masterpiece of Italian Gothic architecture, renowned for its beauty, artistry and devotion.
Florence – Beauty, Faith and Renaissance Splendour
Continue to Florence, stopping en route at Piazzale Michelangelo, one of
the city’s most famous panoramic viewpoints. From here, enjoy spectacular views across
Florence’s skyline, including the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio and the River Arno, a perfect
introduction to the cradle of the Renaissance.
A guided walking tour leads you through the heart of the city, beginning at the magnificent Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, with its iconic dome, and the richly adorned Baptistery.
As you stroll through Florence’s historic streets, you encounter the grandeur of Piazza della Signoria, a visit to Santa Croce, and the charm of the Ponte Vecchio spanning the River Arno.
After time to enjoy the city at your own pace, you ascend Giotto’s Bell Tower, where breathtaking panoramic views offer a new perspective on this remarkable city.
